In the age of the internet, many people are turning to the web to find a bargain prom gown. Don’t waste your hard-earned money on a counterfeit! Many websites claim to sell “designer gowns,” but when you receive your “bargain” gown, the style and quality may be different.

CONSUMER AWARENESS
1. Check the retailer’s website to see if the store is an authorized dealer. If the store is not listed, it is probably a counterfeit.
2. Authorized dealers are required to sell gowns at Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). If a website is selling way below MSRP, then it is probably a counterfeit.
